The EOS M 400-4 is a high-performance industrial metal 3D printing system designed for additive manufacturing of complex metal components at industrial scale. The machine uses Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) / Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technology, where metal powder is selectively melted by a laser beam to build parts layer by layer.

The system features four 400 W Yb-fiber lasers that operate simultaneously across the entire build area, enabling up to four times higher productivity compared to single-laser systems.

With a build volume of 400 × 400 × 400 mm, the system can produce large components or multiple smaller parts in a single build. This makes the EOS M 400-4 suitable for industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, medical technology and tooling, where precision, reliability and efficiency are essential.

The printer supports a wide range of metal materials including aluminum alloys, stainless steel, titanium, tool steels and nickel superalloys.
