The EOS M 400 is an industrial metal 3D printing system designed for additive manufacturing of large and high-quality metal components. The machine uses Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) or Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technology, where metal powder is selectively melted by a laser beam to build parts layer by layer.

The system features a 1 kW Yb-fiber laser and a build volume of 400 × 400 × 400 mm, allowing the production of large components or multiple parts within a single build cycle.

The EOS M 400 platform is designed as a modular production system, enabling integration into industrial manufacturing environments and digital factories. It supports a wide range of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and nickel superalloys.
